CHANNELING BLACK ROCK CITY: BURNING MAN 2024

This live painting was created at Burning Man 2024 during sunset at Cattle Oasis, guided by the music of DJ Raw. Without realizing it, I channeled the exact layout of Black Rock City. From the camps and Center Camp, the energy flows outwards, connecting to Playa and Deep Playa. At the center stands the Man, with the Temple always behind, symbolizing the journey of spirit and creation. The painting came to life without conscious thought, revealing the sacred structure of Burning Man, a map unfolding on the canvas. It was only later that people pointed out how it mirrored the city’s setup, holding the same energy as the event itself. I love how live paintings are a co-creation with the energy of the moment, with the people and experiences we share. We often see together what we can’t see alone.
